Barrichello retention a 'formality'.

The prospect of Rubens Barrichello remaining at Williams  for an incredible 19th season in Formula One is a mere "formality", according to the team.

Barrichello is on course to make his 300th grand prix start at Suzuka in Japan in October, having set out on his F1 adventure with Jordan back in 1993 and achieved 11 victories along the way.
"Assume that Rubens is staying with us," team co-founder Sir Frank Williams told German publication Auto Motor und Sport.
The Grove-based outfit's technical director Sam Michael added: "The extension should be as much a formality for Rubens as is his daily breakfast - he has demonstrated the importance in this business of experience."
The evergreen Brazilian does not yet have a deal in place for next year, but said recently that to leave Williams would be a mistake and he is not willing to enter discussions with rival teams.
The 38-year-old driver is in a rich vein of form, having achieved a superb fourth-place finish in Valencia and fifth at Silverstone.
Barrichello has tallied 29 of Williams' 31 points to date in 2010, leaving young rookie team-mate Nico Hulkenberg in the shade.
He has outqualified the German on seven occasions, with the former GP2 driver outpacing his older colleague three times.
Barrichello has nothing but praise for Hulkenberg, however.
"Ninety per cent of the time we feel the same thing about the car," he explained, "and the other 10 per cent I can learn something from Nico."
