David Luiz, named captain of the Brazilian selection after the suspension of Thiago SIlva, has apologised to the Brazilian people, after the rout of the Seleç?o againstGermany (7-1) in the semifinals of the World Cup Tuesday, in Belo Horizonte.
"I wanted to see the people of Brazil smile. My people which has already suffered. Everyone knows that it is important for me to see the happy Brazil through football. Unfortunately we could not do so. I'm sorry for everyone. Sorry to all the Brazilians. (...) The Germans deserve their victory, they were better than us. They were better prepared than us. It is a day of great sadness,"said the PSG player to Rede Globo.
