The Argentine midfielder has told the club that he would like a move to the La Liga outfit but sporting director Jose Anigo does not want the transfer to turn into a saga.

Marseille sporting director Jose Anigo has revealed that Lucho Gonzalez wants to join Malaga.
The 50-year-old would like the departure of the player to be swift as he wants coach Didier Deschamps to be well prepared in time for the Ligue 1 season.
''He wants to go to Malaga," Anigo said to RMC Sport. "We hope that if Lucho has to go, then this transfer is done quickly.

"The move has a deadline of July 15 but if a proposal comes in a few days later, we might consider it."

He added: ''Didier needs to build his team quickly and to have confirmation on certain items.
And if at the end there is no progress with Lucho, he will have to play with us.''We received an offer of €6 million [£5.3m] from Malaga earlier this week but [we have heard] nothing since.''
Gonzalez's agent confirmed to our site earlier this month that several clubs in England, Italy and Spain were chasing his client's signature.

However, Malaga owner Sheikh Abdullah Al Thani is thought to be the most willing of all the interested parties to meet Marseille's asking price.
Since taking over in June 2010, the Sheikh has sanctioned the purchases of players such as Ruud van Nistelrooy, Jeremy Toulalan and Julio Baptista.
