Novak Djokovic produced a powerful display to end the run of unseeded Yen-Hsun Lu with a 6-3 6-2 6-2 win which secured a place in the semi-finals.
The third seed's serve dominated and he did not face a single break point against the world number 82, who knocked out Andy Roddick on Monday.
One break of serve in the first set, and two in each of the second and third gave the Serb a comfortable victory.
Djokovic will play Tomas Berdych next after the Czech beat Roger Federer.
The Serb, who will be playing in his second Wimbledon semi-final, was delighted with his quarter-final performance on Court One.
The 2008 Australian Open champion told BBC Sport: "Nothing is easy these days especially at this stage of the tournament but the way I played I deserved to win. I hit all the shots, played the rallies and was solid from all parts of the court and I am very happy.
"I sincerely hope I can continue with this level of my game but you never know how you are going to wake up in two days but the way I am playing match after match is very encouraging.
"You have nothing to lose in the semi-finals and definitely this time I am physically fitter than in my last one three years ago."

He was soon in trouble in the fourth game of the set when he slipped to 15-40 down but saved both break points and went on to hold.
But two games later Lu, the son of a Taiwanese chicken farmer, was broken as Djokovic reeled off four consecutive points to take a 4-2 lead.
Both players then held to love before the third seed breezed through another service game to wrap up the set in 34 minutes.
The first four games of the second set went with serve, with Lu recovering from 0-30 down in the opening one, before the 26-year-old served his first double fault of the match and then went a break point down in game five.
He saved that one but Djokovic immediately set up another opportunity and took it with a brilliant forehand to move 3-2 ahead.
In his next service game Lu superbly recovered from 0-40 down to get to deuce and then advantage but the Serb restored parity with an easy smash.
Lu saved another break point with a 124mph ace but could not deny the third seed again and slipped 5-2 behind.
Djokovic clinched the second set with an ace and, with an hour and 14 minutes on the clock and Lu never having recovered from two sets down, the result was already looking inevitable.
And so it proved with the third seed breaking right at the start of the third set and also in the fifth game before moving on to clinch the match with his sixth love service game.
The Serb had to retire with a foot injury in his last Wimbledon semi-final appearance against Rafael Nadal and he added: "There were very strange circumstances in 2007. I had to play three matches in three days, and very long matches, and unfortunately could not hold on in that semi-final, but this time everything is in order and I will give my best."
Lu, the first Asian player to reach a Grand Slam quarter-final since Japan's Shuzo Matsuoka 15 years ago, said he would take away happy memories from his Wimbledon experience.
"It is a great memory to think about," said Lu, who is set to climb into the world's top 50. "Now I know I can reach the quarter-final. It is a good experience for me.
