Twenty-two teams have been selected for the upcoming Tour of Spain (August 28 to September 19) which was not invited to the training of Lance Armstrong, RadioShack, already missing the Giro. Saur-Sojasun Jerome Coppel is also absent.

Organizers announced Monday the list of six teams invited (Andalucia, Cervélo, Garmin-Transitions, Sky, Katusha, Xacobeo) in addition to the sixteen qualified automatically under an agreement dating from 2008 and carrying up this year.
