Gasquet, seeded N.11 had to overcome Germany's Rainer Schuettler, who defeated MonfilsIn the short N.1. The latter gained a place in the quarterfinals, where he will face up to four times U.S. champion Andy Roddick, is Israel's Dudi Sela. The French 23-year-old now has 10 days to recover before him before the start of Wimbledon. At Queen's, Gasquet had beaten the Japanese Kei Nishikori 6-3, 6-3 Monday, then the American Rajeev Ram 6-3, 7-5 Tuesday.
