Nicolas Almagro was called by the captain of Spain's Davis Cup, Albert Costa, to replace Juan Carlos Ferrero to face Switzerland in the first round World Group from March 5 to 7 in Logroño (North of the Spain). "Juan Carlos Ferrero Albert Costa has called for him to share the physical problems that forced him to forfeit," said the Spanish Federation (RFET). Ferrero, who lost in the final tournament in Acapulco against his compatriot David Ferrer, suffers especially the left knee. David Ferrer, Tommy Robredo and Marcel Granollers are three other players who were summoned Tuesday by the Spanish captain.
