For the first time this season, Cleveland has suffered a 3rd straight loss. After Denver Charlotte Thursday and Friday, the Cavaliers went bow on the floor of Orlando, yet one weeks after the Magic in their room (115-106). The anticipated showdown between the two pivots rivals Howard / O'Neal who is no love has turned in favor of the Florida interior, making a beautiful piece of stats: 22 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocked shots. In face, Shaq was not left with only one missed basket (20 points and 5 rebounds). Beside him, LeBron James (33 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists) was still on all fronts. In vain.
This clash between the two leaders of the East, a remake of the last Conference finals last season, turned in the last quarter, while Orlando was a small dot at the end of the 3rd. If Antawn Jamison, new Cavs rookie, has now responded with 19 points (after only 2 units registered in Charlotte for his debut), Mo Williams was a shadow of himself with only 4 points on the board. In three matches, the first defeat for the Cavs this season against the Magic, they would cross later in the playoffs like last year.
THE PLAYER: Russel Westbrook (Oklahoma):
Faced with Minnesota, the playmaker of Oklahoma has signed his 2nd triple double in his young career, the first this season with 22 points, 10 rebounds and 14 assists, the Sophomore (2nd year) led the Thunder to a 33rd victory this season, flanked by a Kevin Durant always as impressive (32 points, 6 rebounds). No wonder qu'Oklahoma is 5th in the Western Conference.
THE STAT: 25
Carlos Boozer has been the nightmare of Portland. With 22 points, 23 rebounds (career record) and 5 assists, Inside Jazz has been the principal architect of the win at Oregon (89-93). A basket saving allowed Utah to pull an extension while the Jazz were led by 25 points.
THE FRENCH:

The Trailblazers winger has scored 14 points (including two award-winning baskets) and took 9 rebounds in 32 minutes of play From the bench Mike Pietrus scored 13 points in 16 minutes with Orlando against Cleveland, including two 3-point baskets.
Wounded in the left hip, Tony Parker still lacked the call with San Antonio on the floor of Detroit (defeat Spurs 109-101). This is the 5th time that the French playmaker missed a meeting on last 10 matches. Johan Petro did not play with Denver facing Boston. Same for Ronny Turiaf at Golden State.
