Ekoku: Ivorians to win.

Former Nigeria star Efan Ekoku previews Sunday's two quarter-finals clashes at the African Cup of Nations.

Ivory Coast v Algeria:
I expect Ivory Coast to put in a full 90 minutes at some stage in the tournament, which they have not done so far; they have not been exciting to watch, with two or three players 'disappearing' in each game.
They will hope to find more consistency this weekend against Algeria, who are a big, strong team and have a tight defence.
After that dreadful opening performance against Malawi, they have reverted to type and you can see how they managed to scrape past Egypt in qualifying.
They break up the play well, do not give an inch and have a combination of power and pace up front, if a shaky keeper.
The key is whether the Ivory Coast can unlock that defence with their speed in midfield and the final third.
I think they have got too much speed for Algeria, but if the Desert Foxes get the opening goal it could be a nervous game for the White Elephants.

Angola v Ghana:
Ghana did well to get through a lop-sided group following the pullout of Togo.
They had a decent win in their last game which will give them confidence and they have a good, young side.
The Black Stars are missing several key players - Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari, Stephen Appiah, John Pantsil and John Mensah are all out - but this is a team for the future.
Angola have surprised me - they are very good going forward.
I have been impressed by Flavio, and his link-up play with Manucho could be very important.
Along the midfield quartet they are impressive, while their right-back Mabina is their best player.
It will be a tough match: I think the edge will be with Angola, as they have home advantage and playing in the capital will be a boost. However Ghana will be no pushovers.
